AppBackup | How to Install Cydia Apps

Share

AppBackup is a program for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets you back up and restore the saved data and settings for your App Store apps.

AppBackup DOES NOT back up the apps themselves. It backs up the data the applications they save (like settings, game progress, etc.)

If you are using Backgrounder, disable the option to "Enable at Launch."  If this is enabled, then AppBackup will crash when you open it.  You can disable it just for AppBackup by going into Overrides, tapping Add, and choosing AppBackup.  Then select AppBackup and turn off "Enable at Launch."

What you need:
  • Jailbroken iPhone, iPod or iPad
  • Cydia app installed on jailbroken device
  • BigBoss repository installed in Cydia
Don't have what you need? Visit my quick tutorials:

Here is how to install AppBackup on your iPhone:

Step 1: Open Cydia

Step 2: Tap on 'Search' and type in 'appbackup'.

Step 3: In the results, tap on 'AppBackup'

Step 4: Tap on 'Install'

Step 5: Confirm the install by tapping on 'Confirm'

How To Use:

To back up an app on your iPhone, open AppBackup, select the app, and then select 'Backup'. To restore an app, select it and then select Restore. (If there is no restore option, then it hasn't been backed up yet.) To back up all apps at once, tap 'All' at the top-left of the screen, and select 'Backup'. To restore all apps that have been backed up at once, tap 'All' and select 'Restore'. (You must have at least one app backed up in order to see this option.)
