Jailbreak Verizon (4.2.6) & AT&T (4.2.1) iPhone 4 with GreenPois0n

If you are one of the lucky, wealthy or patient people that were able to get your hands on the new iPhone 4 from Verizon... one, I envy you & two, you are in desperate need of a jailbreak! Looks like you are lucky, YET AGAIN!

The Chronic-Dev Team has just released their newest version of greenpois0n, greenpois0n RC5 beta 4, that will safely jailbreak your Verizon iPhone (iOS 4.2.6) as well as the AT&T iPhone's (4.2.1).

Follow these simple instructions on how to jailbreak your Verizon & AT&T iPhones:

What you will need:

• iPhone, iPad or iPod
• iPhone USB Cable
• Mac or Windows Computer
• iTunes v10.1 or above
• GreenPois0n Software
• Mac:          Download GreenPois0n RC5 b4 for Mac
• Windows:  Download GreenPoison RC5 b4 for Win

Step 1: Plug your iDevice into your computer

Step 2: Start iTunes

Step 3: Sync and back up your iDevice to save your apps, photos, music, contacts and whatever settings you currently have. 

• Right click your iDevice, located on left side of iTunes under the "Device" category, and select "Sync".  (It may take a minute for your device to show up. Be patient.)
• Once iTunes has finished syncing, right-click your iDevice once again and this time select "Back Up".

Step 4: CLOSE iTUNES once iTunes has finished backing up your device.

Step 5: Download greenpois0n RC5 b4

Step 6: Open greenpois0n RC5 b4 that you just downloaded.

Step 7: READ the steps involved before you select "Jailbreak"

Step 8: With your device in hand, select "Jailbreak" and follow the instructions to place your device into DFU mode. Please note that the first 5 seconds is for you to prepare yourself. 

*** If you mess up, just start greenpois0n over again and follow the instructions again. You do NOT need to restart your device. ***

Step 9: greenpois0n will take over your device. DO NOT DISCONNECT your device until greenpois0n is completely finished. You will know when greenpois0n is finished when you see the battery charge screen.

Step 10: Slide to unlock your iDevice and look for a green icon on your springboard called Loader. Tap to open Loader and select Cydia. Once Cydia is installed, you can open Loader again, this time select "Edit" button on the top left and select "Remove Loader". Now press the Home button on the bottom of your device to exit the Loader app. Wait a few seconds and your device will automatically reboot / respring. Once your device starts up, Cydia will be there but the Loader will be gone.
